Sarpong is a partner at Ferociter and head of the firm’s Transactions & Strategic Advisory practice group. He has extensive experience working on cross-border transactions and conducting legal due diligence in respect of projects and asset acquisitions. Sarpong previously worked in a leading Accra-based law firm, where he headed the firm’s Transactions and Strategic advisory department and advised global energy companies like Halliburton, Maersk, Bumi Armada, Eni, and Tullow. Sarpong’s core practice includes banking & finance, M&A, technology & fintech, and energy.

Prior to and since joining Ferociter, Sarpong’s representative matters include:

  • A leading international mining company on the sale of its interests in iron ore deposits in Liberia.
  • First Atlantic Bank Limited and GCB Bank (as joint arrangers) on their US$ 66 million syndicated guarantee facility to Biwater International Limited for the completion of the Tamale Water Project for the Government of Ghana.
  • A leading manufacturer of cosmetic and body care products, in connection with the reorganisation of its business holding structures in Africa.
  • Sarpong Capital on its GHS 70 million secured hybrid note programme to finance its trading books.
  • First Atlantic Bank Limited in connection with its merger with Energy Commercial Bank.
